It’s another sensational Skincare Sunday and I’m just buzzing to share this latest review with everyone! I occasionally get some exciting products shipped to me from Influenster, an app that allows you review tons of different products, and gives you free stuff to try and tell people about as well. I love trying stuff out and absolutely love sharing my honest opinions with you, and getting your feedback, too. Without spending anymore time on chit chat, let’s get right into it!
The Guerlain Paris Abeille Royale Fortifying Lotion retails at Sephora for $90.00 (150 ml/5 fl oz). One of the most notable ingredients in this formula is the royal jelly. Now, I personally have a moral issue with using bee related products because they are endangered. That being said, the bee products I have tried previously have been absolutely amazing. Based on my previous experiences, I’m feeling optimistic that Guerlian Paris is going to have a gem here.
As you can see, it’s a beautiful pale, yellow colour. To the touch it is light, non-greasy and very smooth with a light floral scent. It is super easy to apply, just shake a few drops into clean hands and gently pat on cleansed skin. The description offered on the website suggests that this product can be used in addition to your regular skincare routine, preferably before adding your moisturizer. Now with skincare products, you know I like to try them out for a couple weeks before I give you any specific opinions. Look below and you will see 3 pictures comparing my skin to the first time I used the fortifying lotion, one week after use, and two weeks after regular (twice daily) use.
The claims of the Guerlain Paris Abeille Royale Fortifying Lotion are to provide anti-aging and balancing effects to your skin’s complexion, as well as actively working to reduce any signs of stress or pollution. From these pictures above, I’m noticing some solid results already. My skin has been suffering because of anxiety breakouts and stress scratching for quite a while so I’m glad to notice some major improvement (The only other change I’ve made to my regular routines, are purchasing a spinner ringer to help prevent the scratching urges)! After immediate application there’s no stinging, redness or irritation that occurs, and after my two weeks of use I don’t notice any irritation occurring from prolonged use either.
So to break it down, The Guerlain Paris Abeille Royale Fortifying Lotion is no flop. I notice significant improvements in the presence of imperfections and scarring that has been marring me as of late. I’m pretty sold on this product. The Guerlain Paris Abeille Royale Fortifying Lotion is definitely on the pricey side of skincare but, if you have sensitive, reactive or otherwise problem skin, you know you have to invest in products to really work with and for you. This is something you may want to research yourself or try to sample.
